Because variety is the spice of life! We change our guest ales every few weeks to keep things interesting - this is what's on now.
A Champ favourite! Light gold in colour and distinctively smooth, with citrus fruitiness and a refreshing hoppy finish. JHB was the first beer brewed when Oakham Ales was founded in September 1993 and is the perfect session beer.
A rich and fruity traditional Norfolk mild. Good balance of malt with liquorice bitterness and lots of chocolate malt. Dark ruby-red mild with a long-lasting finish.
A soft, slightly sweet malt base provides support with just enough contrast to make notes of pineapple, peach and mango shine.
Oakham were the first brewery to commercially brew with Citra hops, this single variety hop ale is now a permanent fixture in their range. A light refreshing beer with pungent grapefruit, lychee and gooseberry aromas leading to a dry, bitter finish.
We pride ourselves on having the best ales in Cambridge. These are the ones we always have on, because they're just too good not to.
Lawrence the landlord's all-time favourite beer. Malty, lovely mahogany colour and just a hint of sweet caramel.
Level Head Session IPA is quite simply a perfectly executed, delicately balanced, sessionable IIPA. The aroma is hoppy, balanced between tropical and grapefruit notes, and at 4% it's a delicious invitation to keep it steady.
Bold flavour and light taste.
Pravha is the best of both worlds. All the bold flavour of a high quality Czech pilsner, perfectly balanced with an unexpectedly light and refreshing taste.
Featuring a light, fruity aroma, Cruzcampo is an Alc 4.4% Vol Spanish lager, brewed with subtle hoppy notes and fruity characteristics.
Asahi Super Dry Beer is a rice lager from Japan. These beers are prepared with rice and malted barley, just like American lagers. As a result, the beer has a light colour and flavour profile. There is also more carbonation, which necessitates a drier finish.
Fruity, dry, racy, thirst-quenching and lip-smacking. Suitable for coeliacs, vegetarians and vegans.
Full bodied grain flavours with lots of green apple and light but persistent hints of pine and herbs, with a light bitterness that persists through to the finish.
Probably the most recognisable beer there is. A perfect balance of bitter and sweet with malt and roast flavours.
We have a selection of delicious snacks from the Longhorn Farmshop such as pork pies, sausage rolls and scotch eggs - with runny yolks! We also have some scrummy vegetarian cheese tarts.
